He was predeceased by: his parents, Morgan Sr. Porter and Marie Porter (Dye); his wife Shirley; his sons, Keith, Scott and Doug; and his grandson Jefferson.
He is survived by: his sister Susan Grey; his son Pete Porter (Angie); and his daughters-in-law, Ginny Porter and Jeanie Porter. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren, as well as friends.
