He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac "Shelby" Johnson and Reba Johnson (Walker); his wife Janice Johnson (Hensley); his sons, David and Jonathan; and his brother Jerry.
He is survived by: his children, Sharonlee Parsons (James) of Petersburg, MI, Dixie Turner (Simon) of Jackson, KY and Mark of Petersburg; his daughter-in-law Christine Reck-Johnson of Heroldbach Germany; and his sister Lillian Hensley (Johnson) of Ewing, VA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
