He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Vorpagel and Dorothy Vorpagel (McGeachy). He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Scott Vorpagel, Sheila Kae Nehrenz, Michael Charles Vorpagel, Kristine Lee Vorpagel and Steven Matthew Vorpagel; his wife Sue; and his grandchildren, Cherokee Roberts, Amy Nicholson, Matthew Nehrenz, Katie Henry, Andrew Nehrenz, Christene Vorpagel, Emily Anderson, Charles Vorpagel, Chancellor Vorpagel, Madaline Vorpagel (Griffin Vorpagel) and Daniel Nicholson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church of Petoskey (500 W Mitchell St, Petoskey, MI 49770).
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Preschool or Little Traverse Bay Humane Society.
