He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hoffman and Isabelle Hoffman (Krussell); his daughter-in-law Devin Neumann Hoffman; his brother Michael; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Gibbons.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Neff; his sons, Pete Hoffman (Jen), Steve Hoffman (Joli) and Doug Hoffman (Lisa); his grandchildren, Izzy, Tori, Max Hoffman, Amanda, Mitch, Allison Hoffman, Marin, Cole and Sydney Hoffman; his brother Bill Hoffman (Patricia); and his brother-in-law Brian Neff (Betty). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
