He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Buvia and Margaret Buvia (Coon); his wife Patricia Ella Adkins; his daughter Vicki; his siblings, Don, Audrey, Betty, Retta and Lorraine; his son Tom Buvia (Tina Rumph); and his nephew Kurt Bondy.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Brittany; and his pet Bitsi.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Kirtland Community College Foundation in Grayling, MI, as a tribute to Franklin's enduring legacy.
