He was predeceased by: his parents, Almond Ericks and LaVerta Ericks (Windt); his in-laws, John Sr. and Ardis Cowell; and his brother-in-law Lynn.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene (Cowell); his children, Angela and Dale; his children-in-law, Brian and Tamara; his grandchildren, Evelyn (Nathan), Ayden, Benjamin, Gregory, Trenton and Richard; and his sister Sharey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
