He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edward Doud, Sr. and Marian Doud, Sr. (Burlington); and his siblings, Jeremiah "Joe" Doud and Neta Doud. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Doud of Petoskey; his son John Stewart Doud; his daughter-in-law Lauren; his granddaughters, Gabriella and Brianna; and his siblings, Charles Doud and Dolores Rogers.
He had a particular love for animals, especially dogs, which led him to support Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, a charity that held a special place in his heart.
