He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thelen and Lillian Thelen (Webster); his wife Winona Standish of Harbor Springs; his son Mike Thelen; and his siblings, Jesse, Robert, Vindle, Paul, Leona, Margaret and Katherine.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Thelen, Nona McDonald (Chuck), Lisa Christoff (Jim) and Holly Thelen. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
