He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence J. Kline, Jr.; and his grandfather Norman Slocum, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Katherine M. Collet (Slocum) of Petoskey; his daughter Amanda Hutcheon (Brett) of Manchester, Michigan; his fiancée Carrie Hickman of Petoskey; his brothers, Jonathon Kline of Petoskey and Jesse Kenwabikise of Petoskey; his grandson Ferris Hutcheon; his grandmother Mary Kae Slocum; Justin, Megan, Trevor, Stephenie and Olivia. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

His legacy of kindness continues even in death through his Gift of Life donation, helping countless others in need.
