He is survived by: his wife Sharon Lee Sponseller; his children, Rick Gillis (Joy) of Petoskey, Chery Walter (Dave) of Grand Blanc and Lynnsey Bechtel (Dan) of Midland; his grandchildren, Nickie Machelski (Adam) of Petoskey, Kaity Biewer (Blake) of Winona, Jake Walter of Chicago, Kailey Walter of Grand Rapids, Nathan Bechtel of Midland, Grace Bechtel of Midland and Maggie Bechtel of Midland; his parents-in-law, Betty Lou Sponseller (Ralph Brown), Deb Alexander, Deb Coates, Bob Strauss and Cape Breton; Audrey Machelski and Wynn Biewer.
