He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Nelson (Freeborn) and Karl "Curly" Nelson of St. Ignace. He is survived by: his wife Janet Moody-Becker; his sister Lynnea Nelson; his children, Shannon, Joshua, Ryan, Chelsea Trautman (Tom), Meagan Phillips (Marcus) and Bethany; his stepchildren, Erin Smela (Trevor), Anthony Becker, Danielle Moody-Becker and Nick Becker; and his grandchildren, Tommy, Paul Trautman, Kellan, Genevieve Russell, Atom Farley (Becker), Bowie and Rory Becker.
