He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Martinchek and Anna Martinchek (Bleha); his siblings, Joseph, Edith, Art, Oscar, Grant and Gladys; and the mother of his children Janice Martinchek Mayhew (Bailey).
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Martinchek (Crawford); his children, Frank (Sue Horniman), Jil (Carl Brien) and Douglas (Lori Warner); his stepson Aaron Beishlag; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jason, Courtney, Brandon and Andrew; and his great grandchildren, Autumn Martinchek and Henry Leestma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Community Reformed Church and McLaren Health Management (Hospice).
