We are sad to announce that on October 4, 2022, at the age of 83, Barbara Ellen Simon of Pewamo, Michigan, born in Saint Johns, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Fernholz and Barbara Fernholz (Schafer); her siblings, Claude Fernholz (Donna), Fred Fernholz, Winnie McKean (Dud) and Gert Smith (Alan); and her parents-in-law, Harold Cole, Ed Schmitt, Dave Schroeder, Rita Kolp and Joseph Kavanagh.

She is survived by : her husband Stanley Simon; her children, Jacqueline Garnsey (Mark) of Rockford, Troy Simon (Kari) of Pewamo and Dr. Nicole Pilz (Bryce) of Ann Arbor; her grandsons, Tyler Garnsey (Brittany), Zane Garnsey (Monica), Cody Garnsey (Audrey), Zachary Simon, Nathan Simon, Talen Pilz and Liam Pilz; her siblings, Mary Schmitt, Susie Schroeder and Luke Fernholz (Maggie); and her parents-in-law, Louise Fernholz, Marie Kavanagh, Ken Simon (Pat), Alice Kus and Jim Kolp. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in memory of Bobbie.
