He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Sr. Stain and Viola Stain (Ahola); his siblings, Orville Stain Jr. (Beatrice), David Stain (Iris), James Stain, Alice Eagle (Everett), Thelma McGill (Daryl) and Gloria Christensen (James); his brother-in-law Steve Wallis; and his parents-in-law, Clifford and Bertha McConkey.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Stain; his children, Angela Nettleton (Brian) of Pickford and Chad Stain (Beth) of Pickford; his grandchildren, Edyn Nettleton, Ava Nettleton, Annah Stain and Nathan Stain; his sisters, Phyllis Anderson (Don), Sharon Piroska (Ed) and Debbie Wallis; and his siblings-in-law, Sandra Stain, Richard McConkey (Kathy), Steve McConkey (Peggy) and Tim McConkey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
