James Davis Rye Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Davis Rye of Pickford, Michigan, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Rye and Fannie Rye (Hill); his siblings, Richard Rye (Loretta), Shirley McDowell (Marvin) and Harry Rye; his brother-in-law William Lamoreaux; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Catherine Newell.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Locsey; his children, Danny Rye (Tracy) and Kaye Batho (Robert); his grandchildren, Stacy Moniz (Jeremy), Davis Rye (Nicole), Dylan Rye (Angela), Lance Batho and Drew Batho; his great grandchildren, Carter Rye, Jayde Rye, Jackson Rye, Ella Rye, Evan Moniz and Adelynn Moniz; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Lamoreaux, Kathy Newell, Chuck Newell (Tabitha) and George Newell (Sandy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
