He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Thorne and Emeline Thorne (O'Brien); his wife Cathy; and his siblings, Jean (Charles Newbern), Bud Thorne (Dorothy), Dolly Lawrence (Charles), Frank Thorne (Betty) and Chuck Thorne.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, John Edington (Susan) of Pickford, Todd Edington (Debra) of Barbeau, Sharon LaJoie (Marty) of Sault Ste and Diane Gervais of Pickford; his grandchildren, Derrick Edington (Julia Stenglein), Nicholas Edington, George Edington (Taylor Talaska), Jacob Edington, Nathan Edington, Matthew Edington, Kaitlyn Edington, Timothy Edington, Kaye Rutledge, Natalie Shaw, Tiffany Shaw (Kyle Maleport), Alivia LaJoie, Alicia Gervais, Alex Young (Ashton Kearns), Scott Gervais (Erica) and Stephanie Gervais; his great grandchildren, Conner, Abigail, Levi VanLuven, Elizabeth VanLuven, Lillian VanLuven, Harper Shaw, Bryson Shogren and Karson Maleport; and his sister-in-law Patricia Thorne of Vicksburg, Michigan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
