It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paula Catherine Nelson of Pickford, Michigan, born in Pontiac, Michigan, who passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Birchard and Lillian Birchard (Jarnot); and her siblings, Pamela Noviski and Daniel Birchard. She is survived by: her husband Karl Nelson; her children, Elliot Nelson (Beth), Lily Gaul (Jared) and Charles Nelson (Torie); her grandchildren, Arloa, Oscar, Esta, Jace, Audrey and Mya; her siblings, Dennis Birchard (Lizabeth), Denise Cox (Gary), Donald Birchard (Beate), Patrice Musto (Anthony), Diane Ennamorato (Mark), Dean Birchard (Lovie) and Delene Taylor Darcene (John); and her pets, Dixie and Greta. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She's a total success story. I will celebrate her when the time comes because she helped direct/alter many lives, mine included. An incredible soul indeed!”
