She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilbert Strauch and Amanda Strauch (Gerth). She is survived by : her husband David Vollmer; her children, Candace Watrobka (Joseph) of Indianapolis, Rebecca Vollmer (Richard) of Lansing, Jenny Vollmer of Caseville and Scott Vollmer (Charla) of Lee's Summit, Missouri; her grandchildren, Cara, Gregory Scovill, Alex Lubeski (Amber) and Noah Vollmer; her sister Diane Smith of Rochester; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Gruehn of Sebewaing.

Memorial donations may be given to Thumb Octagon Barn or the Pigeon Historical Society.
