Derrick leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Derrick’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Derrick will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Derrick Perkins and Joyce Perkins. He is survived by: his significant other Michele; and his sisters, Joyce, Linda and Suzanne. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Keehn Griffin Funeral Home (706 W Main St, Brighton, MI 48116). The lying in state was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (711 Rickett Rd, Brighton, MI 48116). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
