He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brooks and Dorothy Jean Brooks (Hendryx). He is survived by: his wife Deborah Brooks; his children, Matthew Brooks (Alison Scott), Jessica Brooks and Emily Brooks; his siblings, Michael J. Brooks (Susan) and Theresa Emerine; his grandchildren, Aiden Dach, Julian Dach, Penelope Brooks and Sebastian Brooks; and his adoptive son John Spilak.
