Alvin C. Reeves Obituary
Alvin C. Reeves, age 68, of Pinconning, Michigan, passed away peacefully from pancreatic cancer at Carriage House surrounded by family on October 15, 2025. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on November 6, 1956 to Clyde G. Reeves & the late Sandra Joy (Heppner) Reeves.
His early years were spent along the shores of the Saginaw Bay on Sandy Dr. named after his late mother Sandra. He attended Saganing country school, going on to graduate from Standish-Sterling Highschool class of 1974, and attended 1 year of college. Alvin followed in his grandfather's footsteps as a contractor doing what he loved.
Alvin, similar to his mother had quite the green thumb and was well known for his gardens. Having won many competitions with his beautiful roses and African Violets. Along with time spent gardening he was also a fan of music, specifically The Grateful Dead. Alongside caring for his plants, he also took great pride in his animals, being a cat lover he always made sure they were well fed and comfortable. Providing a warm place for them to lay and eat was always very important to him.
Survived by his daughter Alison (Corey) Kos, 3 grandchildren; Mikhail, Scarlett, and Logan Greenier, son; Joel Reeves, his siblings; Carrie Strawn (Tim), Dan Reeves (Deanna), Dale Reeves (Kimeen), and John Reeves (Linda), along with many nieces and nephews. Alvin was preceded in death by his mother Sandra J. Reeves (Heppner) and his wife Janet Reeves (Jan. 28, 2025).
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, October 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home Pinconning Chapel, friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of service, with inurnment at Mt. Forest Township Cemetery.
