James Edward Moore Obituary
James Edward Moore, age 85, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Symphony of Saginaw. He was born on May 21, 1940 in Flint, Michigan to the late Cecil and Jennie (Young) Moore. Jim attended Northern High School and worked as a mechanic at General Motors for over 30 years.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Marleen K. Moore (McGovern); three brothers, John Moore, Robert Moore and William Moore; and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Moore and Janine Moore.
Jim was a man of few words; however, his family knew of his deep love for them. He taught his boys to enjoy life, especially on the waters of the Saginaw Bay by boating, skiing, and fishing. Jim was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons, brothers and friends. He enjoyed life to the fullest and liked to include others in all the fun. He would catch perch and plan fish fries to include his neighbors and friends. Jim was well-respected and loved dearly.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Carolyn (Meyette) Moore; two sons Edward (Diane) Moore and Douglas (Rhonda) Moore; four wonderful grandchildren, Chaz Moore, Bradley (Courtney) Moore, Katie (Mark) Hill, and Zachary (Madison) Moore; five beautiful great-grandchildren, Braxton Moore, Nolan Moore, Emerson Moore, Elliott Hill, and Melanie Hill; and one sister-in-law, Sue LaRooche. He also leaves many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home in Pinconning with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
