Jerome A. Jasura Obituary
Jerome "Jerry" A. Jasura Pinconning, Michigan Jerome Alphonse Jasura, known lovingly to family and friends as Jerry, passed away on May 28, 2026, at Huron Woods Nursing Home. He was born on December 12, 1949, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late William and Rita (Berthiaume) Jasura.
Jerry will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and dedication. He retired from Nexteer after 31 years of service, where he earned the respect of coworkers and friends through his commitment and reliability. He took pride in his work and in the many years he gave to the company. In addition to his career, Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army, an honor that reflected his sense of duty and love of country.
Outside of work, Jerry enjoyed many pastimes that brought him happiness and fellowship. He played golf in the Pinconning league for more than 15 years, and he enjoyed spending time with others over a game of euchre or poker. He also liked going to the casino, where he found enjoyment in the excitement and social atmosphere. These interests were part of a life well lived, filled with simple pleasures and good company.
Jerry was also devoted to his faith and community. He was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion.
Family was an important part of Jerry's life, and he will be deeply missed by those who loved him. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Pagnier and her husband Chris, and by her mother, Renee Jasura. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Emma and Madeline Pagnier, Kyle, Miranda, Parker, and Mila Woodruff. He is survived by his brother, William Jasura; his sisters, Monica (Richard) Blake, Michele (Kerry) Lewis, and Joanne (Nicholas) Haproff as well as many nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his son Paul Jasura, his brother, Robert Jasura.
Jerry's family, friends, and all who knew him will remember his friendly nature, his humor, and his courage.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 5, 2026, at 11 am from Holy Trinity Parish with Rev. Fr. Matthew Federico presiding with inurnment in St. Michael's Cemetery with military funeral honors. Friends may visit the church from 10 am until time of Mass. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Potts, Dr.Abramson, and Dr. Bruck as well as McLaren Bay Region, Rehab and Huron Woods Nursing for the compassionate care given to Jerry.
