Raymond R. Augustyniak Obituary
Raymond Ronald Augustyniak, age 98, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2026, with his family by his side. He was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Walter & Gertrude (Zaworski) Augustyniak on February 5, 1928. Ray grew up in Detroit, moving to Pinconning when he was ten years old. He attended the one room schoolhouse State Rd. School in Pinconning, Michigan. Ray went on to earn his GED and enlisted in the Army.
He met his future bride Irene Andrejewski, at the Sportsman's Bar Dance Hall in 1947. They were married on January 17, 1948, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Celebrating 78 years of marriage this past January.
Ray served in World War II with the Military Police and worked at United Technology until his retirement. He loved farming, dancing to polkas, and spending time with family and friends. He was a strong, loving, faith filled man.
He is survived by his wife Irene, children; Elaine Trudell (Kelly Grocholski), Randy (Joanne) Augustyniak, grandchildren; Lori (Bob) Novy, Ryan (Amy) Trudell, Mallorie (Chad) Bender, Mandie (Eric) Wrozek, Noelle (Connor) Vieau, Ciera (Jes) Sprague, great-grandchildren; Cohen & Addyson Novy, Deegan & Cole Trudell, Collyns, Brooks, & August Bender, Theo, Pierce, Palmer, & Daisy Wrozek, Brielle & Amelia Sprague. His siblings; George (Sandy) Augustyniak, Gary (Maureen) Augustyniak, Loraine Krol, sister-in-law; Geraldine Augustyniak, many nieces and nephews who lovingly called him Uncle Ronnie.
He was preceded in death by his sister; Loretta (John) Bendzinski, brothers; Jerry, and Larry Augustyniak.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Holy Trinity-St. Michael's Parish, with Rev. Fr. Homic presiding, with burial at St. Michael's Cemetery with full Military honors. Friends and family may visit at the church from 11:00 am until time of service.
