Robert E. Rodgers Obituary

Robert "Bob" E. Rodgers, known to many as Bob, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Pinconning, Michigan, at the age of 84, with his loving family by his side at home.

He was born on March 13, 1942, in Jackson, Michigan, to the late Elvis & Elouise (Frizzell) Rodgers. Bob was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from being surrounded by the people he loved.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, BBQing, drinking his miller light, and he found peace and happiness in the outdoors. Family was the center of Robert's world. He is survived by his bride of 50 years, Ruth Ann (Dickhausen) the love of his life; his children, Shelly Hahn and her husband Joe, Curtis Goodroe and his wife Kellie, JoAnna Blakley and her husband Bill, Russell Goodroe and his wife Kriss, and Todd Rodgers and his wife Kristine; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Judy Rodgers and Marcia Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews. Bob leaves behind his devoted brothers, Donald Rodgers, and Elvis (Nyan) Rodgers who were his closest friends and lifelong anchors.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Charlotte Rodgers and his brothers-in-law Ward Hill and Edward Dickhausen, who were among his closest friends. Their memories remained close to his heart, and the bonds they shared were a meaningful part of his life story. Robert valued friendship as much as family, and he formed lasting relationships built on loyalty, laughter, and mutual respect.

Per Bob's wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Robert's name to St. Judes Research Children Hospital.
