He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfred L. II and Grace M. Bodrie II (Summers); his sister Janice Dittenber; his sister-in-law Helen Bodrie; his granddaughter Brianna Bodrie; his parents-in-law, Richard Haskins and Norma; his nephew Scott Atwater; and his friend Peter Bentley.

He is survived by : his wife Renee; his daughters, Melissa and Bridget Bodrie; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Cameron and Trevor; his siblings, Alfred Bodrie (Dawn Kershner), Annlee Greyerbiehl (Gerry), Judy Krzysik (John), Jeannine Atwater (LeRoy), Ed Dittenber, Bruce Bodrie (Linda), George Bodrie, Robert Bodrie and Kellie Bodrie; and his friend Donald Hartwick (Denise).

The family would like to extend a "Thank you" to the Hospice Angels Compassus Living Foundation.

“so sorry to hear of sam passing, he was a great guy, loved driving truck , he is up in heaven rt now finishing his run so he can get home for christmas to be with his loving wife Renee. we will miss you are resting in peace now neighbors roy and carol bellor”
