The memory of Betty Hotchkiss of Plainwell, Michigan, who passed away on July 24, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald VanDenBerg and Fern VanDenBerg (Whyment); her husband Ronald Hotchkiss; her brother Paul VanDenBerg; her in-laws, Greg Martin and Judy VanDenBerg; and her nephew Doug VanDenBerg.
She is survived by: her sister Janet Martin; and her sibling's children, David Hotchkiss, Debbie Cross (Tim), Richard Hotchkiss, Mike VanDenBerg (Chris), Bob VanDenBerg (Stacey), Jason VanDenBerg (Angie), Jenny Woelzlein (Devin) and Andrew Martin (Brandi).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Home and Cremation Society (120 S Woodhams St, Plainwell, MI 49080).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, causes close to Betty's heart.
