He is survived by: his sons, Elijah and Lincoln Hoffmaster; his fiancé Ashley Noel; his father Shawn; his stepmother Theresa Hoffmaster; his mother Katt Bailey; his sisters, Tori Emmons (Monty) and Liz Hoffmaster (Arianna); his grandparents, Carol Ruffner and Ralph Karcher (Liz); his aunts, Shanna Ruffner and Joyce Hunter (Marc); his uncle Mike Bruce; and his cousins, Trenton Ruffner, Brady Ruffner, Max Hunter, Maya Hunter, Randi Barker, Caitlin Barker, Nathan Bruce, Isabelle Barker, Mackenzie Bruce, Ally Bruce, Matthew Barker and Emma Bruce. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Plainwell Funeral Home. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in David's honor to a local fire department or a charity that supports youth programs, as he firmly believed in giving back to the community.
