Mav R. Whitney Obituary

Age 67 of Plainwell passed away Thursday November 13, 2025 at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. Mav was born May 19, 1958 in Kalamazoo, the son of Albert and Lois (Phillips) Whitney. He was employed by J & L Trucking as a mechanic before retirement and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on vehicles. On October 19, 2007 in Hastings, Mav was united in marriage to Hellan Annette (Barton) Whitney who survives. Also surviving are six children, Crystal Whitney, Amber Arlene Whitney, Ira Whitney, Amber Dawn (JT) Lewis, Jerrod (Julie) Whitney, Justin Whitney, Sr.; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 step-children, Randi Barton, Sumer Stanfill, Dustin Stanfill; brother, Ira (Carrie) Warner; two sisters, Jan (Leonard) Larkin, Teena Whitney; mother-in-law, Crynthia Barton; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Therman Barton, Jr.
