Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ryan Whitney of Plainwell, Michigan, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 44, on October 28, 2025. As Ryan departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ryan. Though Ryan may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his parents, Rebecca Presti (Paul) and Ronald Whitney; his wife Ivy; his children, Julia Whitney and Michael Whitney; his sister Renee Whitney (Kameka Carter); and his niece Kylie Earl. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A reception will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Avink, McCowen & Secord Funeral Homes (120 S Woodhams St, Plainwell, MI 49080).
