It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Lewis Switzer of Plainwell, Michigan, born in Cedar Springs, Michigan, who passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Sherman Switzer and DeLove Switzer; his sister Yvonne Alles; his daughter Judy; his brother Donald; his in-laws, Arthur and Lorena Coveyou; his siblings-in-law, Sally Watson and Alfred Watson; and his nephews, Tom Watson and John Watson.

He is survived by : his wife Patsy Coveyou; and his grandsons, Christopher, Aaron and Daniel. He is also survived by his family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Centrica Care Navigators or the First Presbyterian Church of Plainwell.

“My sympathies and prayer's go out to the Switzer family. I always respected Mr. Switzer, as my teacher for four years. He helped me to learn to read more and listen to all kinds of music. Always there to help with any problems and had the most kind heart for all his students. Not just through school years but always there after. Plainwell School Systems found a great well loved teacher, when he came to work there. Thank You Bill, for caring so much and guiding so many in their lives. RIP.”
