He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Miller and Ruth Miller; and his children, Patty Scott and Herman (Scott). He is survived by: his children, Howard Scott, Duane Scott, Charlene Kilgore, Roberta Haywood and Cindy Lennox. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
