He is survived by : his mother Lonnie Swope of Pleasant Lake, MI; his father-in-law Franklin Helton of Rives Junction; his siblings, Cheryl Cole (Robert) of Rives Junction, Matt Swope of Muskegon, MI and Rex Swope (Pam) of Alpena, MI; his former life partner Candy Crosby; his sister-in-law Amy Swope; his nieces and nephews, Nicole, Annika, Robert, Taylor and Joseph; and his great-nephew Robby. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.

A reception was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rives Banquet Hall (335 N Railroad St, Rives Junction, MI 49277).
