He was predeceased by: his former wife Pamela Haase (Tim); his wife Gina Carter-Ellis (Quatrine); his parents, Walter Czepelewski and Harriet Czepelewski; and his siblings, Lucius Carter (Alda) and Irene Waymouth (Harrison).
He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas Carter (Frances) and Isabelle Goosen (Edward). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of extended family.
