He is survived by: his father Mack Mayfield; his wife Darlene Scott; his sister Macklyn Mayfield; his children, LaTonya Mayfield, Dionna Frederick (Corey), Marquis Scott (Monica) and Bernard Evans; his nephew Norman Baker; his niece Nicole Nolan; and his great-nephew Nathan Baker.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nie Family Funeral Home, Janowiak Chapel (320 N Washington St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the United Memorial Garden Cemetery (4800 Curtis Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170).
