It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allan Shorter (Pontiac, Michigan), who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Franklin and Bessie Shorter; and his siblings, James Shorter, Nick Shorter, Jr., Lollie Pearson, Tyrone Shorter, Bruce Shorter and Marvin Shorter.
He is survived by: his children, Allan Ross (Larenda) and Shakela Webb (Timothy); his fiancée Sophia Patton; his stepchildren, Julian Bynum-Horn, Shaquori Jones, Malika Jones and Jazmine Jones; his grandchildren, Deshauntre Webb, Daija Webb, Kaela Webb, Nia Webb and Allan Ross, Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Antonia Williams and Jashawn Horn; his great grandchildren, Loghyn Webb, Rhyan Webb and Amia Webb; and his siblings, Frank Shorter (Helen), Elick Shorter (Sandy), Betty Yancey, Edith Harris (Michael), Venita Shorter-Davis, Victoria Paschall and Paulette Russell (Larry). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
