He was predeceased by: his sons, David Shaw-Allen and Andre Shaw-Allen; his parents, Maria Allen, and David Vincent Allen, Sr.; his brother David Allen; and his parents-in-law, Issiah Shaw and Francessca Johnson-Shaw.

He is survived by: his significant other Shelley Lee Shaw; his children, Shuquna F. Shaw-Allen and Dayvon M. Shaw-Allen; his siblings, Sydney Allen, Christopher Bancroft and Richard Armstrong; his siblings-in-law, Miyoshi Shaw and Sean Shaw; and his aunt Norma Griswold. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
