He is survived by: his wife Shirley Townsend; his children, Robert Townsend, Katrina Traylor (Tyrone), Kassandra Townsend, Bobby Townsend, Jr. (Darmecia) and Stephanie Johnson (Patrick); his grandchildren, Davon Townsend, Robert Townsend, Jr., Zariyah Townsend, Makriyah Townsend, Alijah Townsend, Isaiah Townsend, Julissa Townsend, Kenneth Townsend, Leandra Townsend, Shabonn Boone, Shakwone Boone, Deangelo Townsend, Trayvon Townsend, Donovan Scott (Brianna Bartold), Denarius Scott, Destiny Williams (Derrick), Morgan Johnson, Nylah Johnson, Patrick Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Zaria Johnson, Braylen Townsend and Brandon Davis; his siblings, Ruth Grinter and William Townsend; and his close friend Ollie. He is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church (378 Auburn Ave, Pontiac, MI 48340).
