He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Patterson and David Elizabeth Patterson (Jackson); his daughter Ericka Lynn Patterson; his siblings, Captain James William Patterson, Darryll David Patterson, DeForest Ray Patterson and Marcella Kay Patterson; his mother-in-law Catherine Wade Davis; his siblings-in-law, Morris Davis Jr. and Brenda Lewis Davis; and his aunt Wanda Taggart.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Marlet Patterson and Shadana LaJoi Patterson (Trey Edge); his wife Nora Lee Davis Patterson (Davis); his siblings, Monica Lamb (Michael) and Preston Patterson (Lisa); his siblings-in-law, Juliette Patterson, Neleita Patterson, Helena Pryor (Kairlather), Dorothy K. Davis and Dr. Horace J. Davis; his cousin Roger Jackson; and his friends, Joe Mayo (Osul), Ronnie McNeir (Mona), Alfred McClellan (Evelyn), Alexander LeDoux, Alvin Keel, Alice Sanders (Billy), Lonnie Davidson, Jr. (Lavern), Gary Wilson (Evelyn), Bryant, Tina Hatcher and Darryl Gordon (Dominique). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Welcome Missionary Baptist Church (143 Oneida St, Pontiac, MI 48341).
