Charles A. Knapp Obituary

Charlie A. "Chuck" Knapp, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, in Pontiac, Michigan. Born on July 08, 1935, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Charles F. and Lucinda (Russell) Knapp, Chuck was a beacon of light and love to all who knew him.

Chuck met the love of his life, Theresa Bermejo, and they were united in marriage on August 30, 1980, at their home in Bay City, Michigan. Together, they built a life full of joy and raised a family that was the center of Chuck's world. He was a devoted and caring husband, always putting Theresa first, and a loving father to their cherished children: Charles (Carolyn) Knapp, John Knapp, Jeff Knapp, Julie Knapp, Tom (Lynn) Guerrero, Jo (Steve) Marks, Pat (Brian) Davis, Tim (Lynda) Evans, Penny (Darrell) Davenport, and Matt (April) Luna. Chuck's legacy also includes his 23 grandchildren, with whom he had a special relationship each of them, and many adored great and great-great-grandchildren.

Chuck was brother of Ronald (Wanda) Knapp and was preceded in death by his brothers John Morrison, Bob Morrison, and his sisters Maggie Russell and Betty Stevens. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family, and his presence will be deeply missed.

For 45 years, Chuck worked as a salesman at Stevens Cycle Sales in Bay City, where he was affectionately known as "Uncle Chuck" to his colleagues and customers alike. His friendly demeanor and faith-filled spirit made him a favorite among those he worked with and served.

A man of deep faith, Chuck was a devoted and charter member of the New Life Apostolic Tabernacle in Standish since 1990. He lived his Christian beliefs and shared them with others, both in word and deed. His generous nature extended to charity work, particularly with the church and the Salvation Army, where he actively participated in outreach programs within the community.

Chuck's interests were a reflection of his love for family and community. He was faithful to being a supporter of any of the grand children's events even traveling long distances to attend and cheer them on. An avid Detroit Tigers fan, he shared many joyful moments with his family, cheering on their favorite team. His generosity of spirit, friendly nature, and faith-filled life were the hallmarks of his character.

Chuck's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and dedication to family. His memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. His was a life well-lived, full of purpose and kindness, and his influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.
