She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Hugh Wims and Ruth Wims; her husband Harold Nevils Sr.; her siblings, Robert, Joe, Jerry, Ronald "Dee Dee" Wims of Clemon, Laura Walker, Mary Kendrick, Louise Stewart and Stella Winfield; her son Harold Nevils Jr.; and her grandson Kejuan "Lou" Hatcher.
She is survived by: her aunt Estelle Marshall of Pontiac; her children, Katrina Hopkins (Alan) of Pontiac, Marcella Kimbrough (Darryl) of Brownstown, Jeffrey Nevils of Pontiac and Hugh Nevils of Pontiac; her siblings, Anne Mems of Ferndale and John Wims (Betty) of Auburn Hills; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Wims of Pontiac, Valarie Wims of Detroit and Julie Winfield of Bloomfield Hills; and her grandchildren, Alliena Barry (Alex), Eric Byers (Sara), Christopher Nevils, Lawrence Byers (Alison), Randall Hopkins (Julia), Alicia Johnson, Marissa Hopkins-Olivato (Lucas), Latyna Harmon, Jordan Hopkins (Madi), Candace Johnson, Carmen Kimbrough, Nicholas Johnson, Danielle Johnson, Justin Hopkins, Paris Johnson, Timothy "Evandar" Brown, Danielle Nevils, Celettia Nevils and Jesse Kimbrough. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church (174 Branch St, Pontiac, MI 48341). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
