We announce the death of Darryl Smith (Pontiac, Michigan), who passed away on October 7, 2026, at the age of 67. Darryl will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Smith and Alzoria Hall; and his siblings, Jaesen Turner and Jabar Turner. He is survived by: his wife Terry Smith; his children, Loren Catchens, Brandon Smith, Kelli Johnson (Kierre), Michael Spears and Terria Spears; his grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Brandon Parker, Jason Smith, Maurice Smith, Malaysia Spears, Madison Spears, Michael Spears, III and Morgan Spears; his siblings, Jansen "Ronnie" Turner, Anthony Enoch, Charlena Turner, Coletta Jones, Cheryl Turner, Richard Clark, Stanley Billings and Wyndell Cooper; his aunt Fredia Jeralds; and his close friend Tina Latimer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 1:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (268 North Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48342).
