It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Walker (Pontiac, Michigan), who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Walker and Frances Mann Walker; his siblings, Jimmie, Alex Walker (Carolyn), LeBon Walker, Sr. and Lodena Fouche (Alphonso); his brother-in-law Ambachew Negussie; and his nephews, Jimmie Walker, Jr. (Mitzi), Charles Fouche, Alex LeBon Walker (Tatiana) and Ernest Alexander Walker.

He is survived by: his spouse Luvenia Platt; his stepchildren, Annie May and Larry Platt; his sisters, Emma Walker Negussie of Southfield, MI. and Lorene Walker of Memphis, TN.; his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Walker of Montgomery Village, MD and Aby Kdundal of Riverdale, MD.; his nieces and nephews, Everett Walker, Dereje Negussie (Kellee), Amarre Negussie (Frances), Jason Walker (Emily), Dr. Robert Ferguson, Jr., Dr. Chris Green, Joyce Fouche, Sabrina Walker, Pamela Ferguson, Sr. (Robert), Frances Fatima Walker, Kim Walker, Tamara Walker-Abdul (Saleem), Lindsey Chenault (Kevin), Alexis White, Trish Lilmatta (Irving), Erin Davis (Bernard), Sandra Walker, Jacqueline Walker, Chandrae Walker, Beverly Walker, Beverly Fouche and Lorieal Green; his stepgrandson Larry Platt, Jr.; his cousin Richard (Debra Walker); and also Wanda Platt.
