He was predeceased by: his son Antonio Mays; his father Howard Eugene Brooks, Sr.; and his grandfather Earnest Elam. He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Elam; his children, Quaiesha Mayes, Howard Collins, Chelsea Collins, Amesha Brooks, Dawone Brooks and Jamaal Collins; and his sisters, Sylicia, Sylvaira, Sylia and Sylva Brooks.
