He was predeceased by: his parents, Selma May and Luette McClain (Clinton); and his siblings, Ezekiel May and Clintonia Booker. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude May; his sons, Johnny R. May and Marlon May; his grandchildren, Johnny "LJ" May, Jr. and Ryann Alexis May; his great grandchildren, Alyvia May, Za'Karee Wilson and T'Nyah Wilson; his siblings, Willie May (Maxine), Rev. Joe May and Sherri Baker; and his niece Sonia May. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
