He was predeceased by: his parents, Alcus Carr, Sr. and Fannie Carr; his brothers, Leodis Carr, Jessie Carr, Edison Ford Carr, Sr., J. W. Carr, Willis Bishop, Willie G. Carr, Ramsey Bishop and Alcus Carr, Jr.; and his great grandchild Rylie M. Washington.
He is survived by: his wife Evangelist Avie Nell Carr of Pontiac, Michigan; his children, Sonia Cowart (Kevisi) of Glenn Heights, Lonell Carr (Barbara) of Douglasville, Georgia and Denisha Williams (James) of Pontiac, Michigan; his grandchildren, Jamesha (Linny), Lonell Jr. (Kristen), Jashara, Kanique, Reginald Jr. (Victoria), O'Shun, Makiah, Anissa (John), Kierra, Dacarell, Breia, Jazzinique, Ke'Yanni, Jamad and Serenity; his great grandchildren, Ja'Nella, Morgan, Jayde, Amia, Isabella, Harper, Skylar, Brailynn, Justice, Brooklynn, Ava, Boston and Yohanna; his daughters, Bridgette Carr and D'Mia Cowart; and his siblings, W. J. Bishop (Margie), Geneva Howard (Jules), Herman Bishop, Prince Albert Carr (Mildred) and Arcell Bishop.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home (268 North Perry St, Pontiac, MI 48342). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Welcome Missionary Baptist Church (143 Oneida St, Pontiac, MI 48341-1626).
