He was predeceased by: his parents, Alcus Carr, and Fannie Carr, Sr.; his siblings, Edison Ford Carr, Sr., Leodis Carr, J. W. Carr, Alcus Carr, Jr., Jesse Carr, Willie G. Carr, Lovell Carr, Sr., Willis Bishop and Ramsey Bishop; and his pet Bowser.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Renee Carr, Diane Carr, Dorothy Taylor, Charles Taylor, James Haynes and Ashley Smith; his grandchildren, Qiana Earley, Farrah Lewis, Micaela Earley, Ane'Taylor, Char'La Taylor and Devin Gray; his siblings, Herman Bishop, Arcell Bishop, Willie J. Bishop (Margie) and Geneva Howard (Jules); and his sisters-in-law, Avie Carr and Prestine Carr. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
