He was predeceased by: his wife Myrtle Odom-Byas; his son Damon Byas; his grandchild Damon R. Byas; his parents, Floyd Byas and Earlene Byas; his grandmother Rosie B. Williams; and his brother Floyd Byas, II.
He is survived by: his children, Demar Byas, Dana Byas and Cameron Byas; his grandchildren, Kendall Byas, Kailee Byas, Kelsee Byas, Keaira Lolow, Ravionne Macias and Raphael Macias; and his brother Carl Byas (Ella). He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
