It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vanessa Ann Cato in Pontiac, Michigan, who passed away on May 3, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Sallie Mae Shelton; her grandmother Mary Dee Shelton; and her siblings, Sallie Cato-Willis, Ruth Cato, Mary Gipson-Winfield and Willie Cato.
She is survived by: her children, Teria (Leroy) and Rickey, Jr. (Brittany); her grandchildren, Eboni, Keyontae, Tiana, Siraj, Kingston, Maleen and Khalil; her siblings, Johnny Cato, Mary Bernita Cato, Vivian Shelton and Myra Allen (Christopher); her cousin Anita Shelton-Ford; her daughter-in-law Mishenda; and the father of her children Rickey, Sr.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
