He was predeceased by : his parents, Casmier Kowaleski and Stella Kowaleski (Dunajski); and his brothers, Thomas, William and Richard Kowaleski.
He is survived by : his wife Judi Kowaleski of Port Hope; his children, Gerald Allen Kowaleski (Gloria) of Columbiaville, Susan Miller of Eastpointe, Kellie Thompson of Savannah and Georgia; and his siblings, Cass Kowaleski of Hadley and Patricia Hoody of Port Hope. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to any local animal shelter or dementia group.
